Das Rückspiel findet eine Woche später in Ciudad Real statt, teilte die EHF am Montag mit.

    This will be the third Champions League final for Portland San Antonio and the second participation in a row for BM Ciudad Real.
    According to the Champions League regulations a team that had the home right in the second game of its last appearance in a final will automatically have the home right in the first leg at its next appearance in a final.
    For the finals of the 2005/2006 season, all club competitions of the seasons 2004/2005, 2003/2004 and 2002/2003 are taken into consideration in this respect.
    In the 2003/2004 Cup Winners’ Cup finals Portland San Antonio had the home right in the second leg match.
    Hence, the 1st leg match of the 2005/2006 Men’s Champions League finals will be played on Portland San Antonio’s home court in Pamplona. The return match will be played in Ciudad Real.

    Eine Mannschaft, die bei der letzten Finalteilnahme das Heimrecht im Rückspiel hatte, erhält bei der nächsten Finalteilnahme das Heimrecht automatisch im Hinspiel.
    Für die Finalspiele der Saison 2005/06 sind in dieser Hinsicht alle Vereinsbewerbe der Saisonen 2004/05, 2003/04 und 2002/2003 relevant.
    In allen Fällen, in denen die Anwendung dieses Reglementpunktes nicht zur Definierung des Heimrechtes führt, entscheidet die Auslosung über das Heimrecht.

    Keiner äußert sich zum CL-Final-Hinspiel!? War doch zumindest im Fielmann-Stream für jedermann zu sehen.

    Das Fazit ist kurz. Die Bolzer um den bärtigen Dauer-am-Boden-Wälzer hatten nicht den Hauch einer Chance. Im Rückspiel trotzdem noch einmal vollste Konzentration bis zur 50ten Minute und dann kann CR endlich den lange fälligen Titel feiern.
