Disciplinary Commission imposed ban on Czech coach Trtik
Following the incidents during the TUN-CZE main round match, the IHF Disciplinary Commission imposed a ban against Dr Rastislav Trtik, who showed misbehaviour towards the officials and assaulted Alexander Kozhukhov (Russia).
In accordance with the IHF Regulations, the Czech coach has been banned from the matches against France and Greece and was fined. Despite the severe misbehaviour the ruling was quite moderate. With the game stopped at 16:09 min, Trtik spat towards the table. IHF official Kozhukhov called the referees inviting them to decide a disqualification due to seriously unsportsmanlike conduct. Even before the Czech coach had shown a quite aggressive behaviour towards the IHF officials, as was reported in the Disciplinary Commission’s official statement.
