    Wenn die Fans erkennbar sind, werden die auch bestraft. Geld bis hin zu Stadionverbot.

    Ich bin aber froh, daß man ohne ein muliges Gefühl zum Handball gehen kann.

    Wir standen z. B. beim CL Viertelfinale direkt neben den Blau-Gelben aus Polen. Die waren ja mit großer Truppe angereist und trotz des Endes des Spiels (mit der Einlage von Dushebajew) haben die uns im Anschluß ganz fair gratuliert. Beim Fußball eigentlich nicht vorstellbar.

    Ein wirklich schöner Aspekt beim Handball...

    Wenn es während des Spiels passiert, würde ich mir wünschen, dass man das Spiel solange unterbricht, bis der/die Übeltäter von der Tribüne kommt/en (oder gebracht werden, wenn die Umstehenden doch alle so harmlos sind) und abgeführt werden. Anzeige, Hallenverbot, diesdasjenes, fertig. Danach kann es dann gesittet weiter gehen.

    Die IHF hat ihr offizielles Statement veröffentlicht.

    Darin heißt es, dass es bereits nach dem Spiel zwischen Ungarn und Nordmazedonien zu Vorfällen gekommen sei. Daraufhin habe die IHF eine Anpassung des Sicherheitskonzeptes gefordert, aber die Veranstalter sind dem nicht ausreichend nachgekommen. Daraus ergeben sich Strafen und Konsequenzen sowohl für die mazedonische Mannschaft als auch den kroatischen veranstalter und einige Zuschauer.

    • the Croatian Organising Committee is imposed a fine due to the failure of the security concept;

    • the Varaždin LOC is ordered to close the spectator’s area behind the team benches/support table for spectators;
    • the Varaždin LOC is ordered to increase the presence of security personnel and police in Varaždin and to perform full access controls including controlling all spectators, bags, etc.;
    • the Croatian Organising Committee is ordered to prepare a corresponding communication to the spectators and ticket holders about the security concept.
    • the Macedonian Handball Federation is imposed a fine due to the misbehaviour of the North Macedonian fans;
    • the Macedonian Handball Federation is warned that future matches of the team of North Macedonia will be closed for spectators if similar incidents happen again.

    Further to the above, the LOC has been instructed that:

    • the spectator’s area behind the team benches/support table for spectators be closed for all further matches;
    • the presence of security personnel and police in Varaždin be increased and full access controls including controlling all spectators, bags, etc. be performed;
    • the spectators and ticket holders be informed about the security concept.

    Schade, dass es soweit kommen musste.
