Tja, bitterer Auftakt nicht nur für den HCL in dieser Gruppe, auch Viborg verliert völlig überraschend. Drei Sekunden vor Schluss haut Todorovska den Ball aus unmöglicher Position noch ins Tor. Zuvor hatte die starke Jurack in der Schlussminute für den Ausgleich gesorgt. Aber wie so oft: Auf dem Balkan muss man mit allem rechnen. Ich schätze mal, dass Viborg das Rückspiel 34:22 gewinnt
Klasse bei Viborg war übrigens im zweiten Durchgang Nicolas im Tor. Hätte sie nicht soviel gehalten, wäre es wohl ein Debakel geworden.

UNDESERVED DEFEAT IN BUDAPEST
Kometal Gjorce Petrov didn’t succeed to make good result on the field of Ferencvaros in Budapest, in the first match of this year’s Champions League and was defeated with 31-28 (14-12).Our team showed good performance, especially in the last 10 minutes of the first and in the whole second half, but the absence of Naukovich, as well as the poor arbitrage of the Czech referees, were responsible for the unequal conditions on the handball court.
In that direction, the key moment of the match was maybe the one in 21st minute, when the referees gave direct red card to Yeliz Ozel which was totally undeserved, so Kometal had to change the whole concept of playing on this match. The referees started this match with many mistakes and they continued like that until the end.
Still, after the red card for Ozel, Kometal made nice effort and from 6-11 came to 12-14 on the end of the firs half.
In the second half, the difference was 2-4 goals for the hosts, and Kometal had the last chance to make much better result on 3 minutes until the end when Ana Amorim didn’t score in the fastbreak, which would’ve been an equalizer (27-27).
Until the end, Ferenzvaros did use its attacks and did not give another chance to Kometal for a better result.
In our team we have to stress the fantastic match of Eduarda Amorim who was true leader with 11 goals scored, but that was not enough for Kometal at the end. In the second half, the other player also woke up, so our team was more dangerous from every position.
Kometal players have to leave this undeserved defeat behind because already the next weekend we’ll have a match against another great rival, the Danish Slagelse, this time in the renewed “Kale�.

joerg2 hat recht. die einsatzzeiten von postnova in der nationalmannschaft sind, seitdem trefilov nicht mehr trainer bei lada ist, deutlich zurück gegangen-trotz überdurchschnittlicher leistungen. persönliche gründe....

Hypo schlägt Budapest 32:20 und ist damit Tabellenführer. Spiel mit vielen technischen Fehlern auf beiden Seiten, Hypo noch nicht eingespielt und sprachliche Probleme mit den drei Asiatinnen. Weltklasse-Spielmacherin Oh aber schon jetzt eine Augenweide. Sehr bewegende Bilder auch rund um Hypos Manager Prokop.
Bei Budapest fielen vor allem die Fans auf, denen es erst zu warm und später zu kalt war.

Special experience for Jurack“Of course this was a special match for me,” said Viborg’s German international Grit Jurack who played most of her handball career in HC Leipzig before going to Denmark.
“It is especially important to me that we won this game. I think we did okay in attack, while our defence was not at its best,” added Jurack who was not nice to her former club-mates scoring 7 goals.
Henriette Mikkelsen was top scorer of Viborg with 8 goals this evening. She also gave her comments:
“It was quite easy for us to score, but our defence was not good enough. However, I think that was mainly due to the fact that we lost Lene Lund Nielsen at an early stage. It was not so much because of our experiments in the defence in the second half.
Leipzig also has a Danish coach, Morten Arvidsson. He was not desperate for losing against a good team:
“We have many new players this season, and our team has changed in several positions respect to the team that won the German championship last year.
“It is getting better all the time, but no one can expect us to be strong enough to win an away match in the Champions League against Viborg yet,” Arvidsson said after the game.
